Roles and Responsibility:
• Strong knowledge of retail banking laws and regulations in India
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proven track record of managing legal and compliance issues in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Willingness to travel as required
• Provide legal advice and support to the retail banking business of IDFC FIRST Bank
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies related to retail banking operations
• Review and negotiate contracts and agreements with third-party vendors and service providers
• Conduct legal research and analysis to identify potential risks and provide recommendations to mitigate them
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure legal and regulatory compliance in all retail banking activities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address legal and compliance issues in a timely manner
• Monitor changes in laws and regulations related to retail banking and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders
• Conduct training sessions for employees on legal and compliance matters related to retail banking
• Manage relationships with external legal counsel and ensure timely and cost-effective legal support for the retail banking business
• Prepare and submit reports to senior management on legal and compliance issues and their resolution

Education Qualifications:

Graduation: Bachelor's in Law

Postgraduation: Master's in law

Experience: 3-4 Years of relevant experience

Job description
Role: Legal Manager - Non-Litigation (Legal & Compliance)
Experience: 3 to 6 years.
Qualification: LLB
Location: Kurla, Mumbai
Responsibilities:
- Should have experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating (i) NDAs, leave and license agreements, IT agreements, service agreements; (ii) fund raise related documents, loan agreements, mortgage deeds, deed of hypothecation, guarantees; (iii) NCD issuance related documentation.
- Experience of working on co-lending arrangements, alliance arrangements, direct assignment transactions, securitization transactions would be preferable.
- Good understanding of Indian Contract Act, securities laws, RBI regulations governing NBFCs, loan against property business.
- Must have experience in drafting contract agreements, negotiations.
Apart from other contract related work, candidates experience in M&A, co-lending, direct assignment, securitization (PTC) work would be preferred.
