About the role:
We are looking for an experienced enterprise data processor using the BI Reporting tool with AWS capabilities. The candidate is responsible for making our platform application more scalable and reliable. A Data Management Specialist is expected to understand all the core BI Reporting & AWS services including EKS, ECS, EC2, and S3. You will need to be able to deploy Codebase and service on AWS Instances using DevOps- CI/CD approach. You will also be responsible for setting up a monitoring stack. Metrics obtained from monitoring will be used for service capacity planning.
Hands-on experience with data processing and data warehouses, AWS Batch, Glue, Data Pipelines, RedShift, Quicksight, Lambdas, and Athena. You must have deep automation experience in build, test, deployment automation, post-release surveillance, and monitoring. Good to have programming languages including Java and Python, is preferred.
Key responsibilities:
Implement systems that are highly available, scalable, and self-healing on the AWS platform using data processing and data warehouses, AWS Batch, Glue, Data Pipelines, RedShift, Quicksight, Lambdas, and Athena etc
Design, manage, and maintain tools to automate operational processes using different AWS services
Experience developing cloud-native CI/CD workflows and tools, such as Bitbucket, Jenkins, Bamboo, Code Deploy (AWS), and/or GitLab.
Automate security controls, governance processes, and compliance validation on AWS
Work closely with developers to implement continuous delivery systems and methodologies on AWS utilities
Define and deploy monitoring, metrics, and logging systems on AWS platform
Build tools and processes to support the infrastructure
Informally train and share AWS knowledge across teams
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, using CloudFormation, Terraform, or other tools.
Hands-on experience distributed application architecture, such as containers, Dockers, Kubernetes, and/or serverless technology is a plus.
Experience with the full software development lifecycle and delivery using Agile practices.
You must have:
• BS / BE in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience is preferred • Relative 5+ years of hands-on experience using AWS platform using data processing and data warehouses like AWS Batch, Glue, Data Pipelines, RedShift, Quicksight, Lambdas, and Athena etc
Experience with monitoring and log aggregating frameworks such as Kafka, Logstash, Splunk, ElastiSearch, and Kibana etc.
• Certified on at least one: AWS DevOps Engineering, AWS Certified Developer - Associate, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate etc • Experience in AWS services like EKS, ECS, EC2, S3, SNS & SQS etc
Strong presentation, verbal communication, and written communication skills including cross-collaboration across teams.
Proficient with AWS services: Compute and Network, Storage and CDN, Database, Analytics, Application Services, Deployment, and Management
Experience with multi-tier architectures: load balancers, caching, web servers, application servers, databases, and networking
Familiarity interacting with AWS APIs & API Gateway
Exposure on AWS Disaster Recovery design and deployment across regions a plus
Self-starter excited to relentlessly solve many technical challenges
Manage your own time and work well both independently and as part of a team
