Job Description

As a 7.5 Tonne Collections and Delivery Driver for DPD, you will serve as a crucial point of contact for our customers. Your role is integral to maintaining our reputation for excellence in parcel delivery and collection services. This position requires a valid C1 licence, Driver Qualification Card (DQC), and Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC), along with a minimum of 12 months' experience in a similar role.

Key Responsibilities:
• Represent DPD with professionalism and courtesy during all customer interactions.
• Ensure timely and accurate collection and delivery of parcels according to scheduled routes.
• Operate and maintain a 7.5 tonne vehicle in accordance with company standards and road safety regulations.
• Assist with the loading of parcels at the depot at the beginning of each shift.
• Efficiently manage a daily schedule of approximately 50-60 collection and delivery stops.
• Utilise provided equipment, such as sack barrows and hand trucks, to safely handle heavier items.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, collections, and any route deviations.
• Adhere strictly to all health and safety protocols, particularly when handling and transporting parcels.
• Report any vehicle issues or route concerns promptly to the relevant supervisors.
• Continuously strive to improve service quality and operational efficiency in line with company objectives.

Qualifications

• A valid 7.5T (C1) licence, DQC (Driver Qualification Card) and CPC accreditation
