About the Opportunity

The Aboriginal Access Officer supports access to records and information in the State's archive, especially to Aboriginal people and communities. This role works closely with the Senior Aboriginal Access Officer to support the promotion of the archive and State Records' services, and also assists with projects that improve the quality of the archive collection.

State Records sets standards and assists agencies in the management of information assets, preserves and provides access to historical records of government in South Australia, and helps to protect personal information privacy.

Special Conditions for Employment

Employment is dependent upon a National Police Certificate clearance that the AGD finds satisfactory. Successful applicants will be provided further information if an interview is requested. Forms are not to be lodged directly with SA Police (SAPOL) under any circumstances and any fees incurred by applicants in doing so will not be recoverable from the AGD.
