About the Role:
Reporting to the General Manager, the Account Manager is responsible for prospecting and recruiting new business in the assigned territory, supporting existing accounts, and earning a guaranteed base salary plus commissions, with company coverage for mileage and expenses.
The successful applicant will:
Identify and develop opportunities to obtain new clients and support revenue growth.
Build territory by setting priorities, prospecting, and networking to develop and manage new business while ensuring follow up with existing customers.
Meet or exceed onboarding targets in defined territory.
Maintain product knowledge and be able to demonstrate proper use of instruments, market conditions, competition, and industry trends.
Actively participate in business activities such as trade shows, seminars and conferences representing Insight Medical Technologies.
Deliver exceptional support and knowledge to customers.
Discuss new technologies with optometrists and ophthalmologists.
Install and train the end users on new equipment.
Perform minor repairs and service when necessary.
Prepare equipment quotations and process signed sales contracts.
We are seeking a candidate with the following experience and attributes:
Between 2 to 5 years of sales experience is required.
Outside Sales experience within the optical industry is required, or equivalent office management or customer service experience, such as an optician/optometric assistant or a frame/contact lens representative.
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
An outgoing self-starter with the ability to work independently with little supervision
Strong negotiation skills.
Manage your own schedule with strong time management and organizational skills.
Motivated individual that can remotely manage his/her own territory.
Must possess a valid Driver's license, own vehicle, and have the willingness to travel.
A strong command of English is required, as this role involves regular communication with partners and clients located outside of Québec.
