The Opportunity
Within the framework of the DIC Way, and giving due consideration to DIC’s Corporate Mission, Vision and Spirit, the role of Account Manager is responsible for coordinating and controlling customer and supplier activities of DIC Australia & New Zealand’s Trading Division. As the Account Manager for the Trading Division you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing customer and supplier relationships to meet the organisational, commercial and operational objectives.
This role is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with great interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities to step into technical environment and provide high levels of client service and problem-solving. Responsibilities
• Manage the daily operations of allocated trading accounts, providing leadership and building strong relationships with clients.
• Work closely with the Business Manager (DIC Australia) to set accurate forecasts and reports for traded products and customers.
• Achievement of annual targets in line with the organisation’s strategic plans and budgets.
• Inventory forecasting and management, liaising with other departments.
• Ensure optimal customer satisfaction to support sales, providing support on technical issues and optimising efficient processes.
• Representing DIC at industry events.
• Develop strategies for gaining new business with existing and potential accounts.
• Using CRM’s to maintain sales pipeline and forecasting.
• Provide assistance with and monitor accuracy of purchase orders.
Key Skills and Experience
• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Chemistry or related discipline highly regarded.
• 3 years’ experience within a chemist, product management or commercial function who can articulate technical products
• Strong analytical, project and organizational skills
• Exceptional stakeholder management and experience in interacting with business management, operational and commercial teams, and both internal and external stakeholders
• High attention to detail.
• Comprehensive product, customer and market knowledge in Coatings, adhesives, and construction
• Must be proficient in MS Office applications (SAP Preferred).
