About The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Staff Accountant to support our daily and monthly accounting functions for our hospitality segment. This role will ensure accuracy and compliance with financial standards, collaborating effectively with senior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Accounting Operations:
Perform daily accounting entries for sales, banking transactions, and events.
Support the daily bank reconciliation process to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
Monthly Accounting Processes:
Assist with the Balance Sheet reconciliation process for the hospitality segment.
Prepare monthly journal entries, including accruals, reclassifications, allocations, and amortization, to support month-end closing activities.
Contribute to month-end variance analysis under the direction of senior team members.
Audit and Reporting:
Assist with year-end audit requests by preparing necessary documentation and analysis.
Handle ad-hoc assignments and projects as required.
About You
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
1-3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the hospitality or service industry.
Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
