Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial statements, and providing accurate and timely financial information to support decision-making processes within the organization. Your role will involve maintaining financial records, analyzing data, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.

Responsibilities
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Conduct month-end and year-end closing procedures, including reconciling accounts and preparing adjusting entries.
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Maintain general ledger accounts and perform regular account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, providing insights and recommendations based on analysis.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends, and highlighting areas of concern or improvement.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide financial guidance and support in decision-making processes.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations, including GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Prepare and submit tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
• Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Conduct regular audits of financial processes to identify areas for improvement and mitigate risks.
• Stay updated on accounting standards, industry trends, and changes in regulations, recommending adjustments to accounting practices as needed.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) are highly desirable.
• Proven work experience as an Accountant or in a similar role, demonstrating a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices - Minimum 5 Years*
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems. Experience with QuickBooks, SAP, or similar platforms is preferred.
• Solid knowledge of financial statements and the ability to interpret and analyze financial data.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office productivity tools.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with competing priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Familiarity with tax regulations and experience in tax preparation is a plus.
• Knowledge of financial reporting standards, such as IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), is an advantage.
