I am delighted to be partnering a growing business based in Ipswich looking for an experienced Accountant on a full time basis.
Duties Will Include
• Assist in the preparation of the monthly management accounts
• Review of monthly nominal ledger
• Overseeing the chasing of Aged Debtors each month
• Day to day processing of purchase invoices, matching to purchase orders and ensuring the company’s approval process is adhered to throughout the purchase ledger
• Sign off of Purchase Ledger invoices
• Preparing payment proposals in line with cashflow forecasts and liaising with the Company Accountant to ensure payments are made on time
• Reconciliation of supplier statements to the purchase ledger accounts
• Dealing with queries in a timely and accurate manner
• Management of petty cash
• Accounts filing of purchase ledger invoices to be kept up to date
Key Skills & Attributes
• Understanding of Sage accounts
• Purchase ledger and sales ledger experience is essential
• Good Excel and systems knowledge
• Team player mentality
