MacGregor Black is delighted to partner with a Fast Moving Business in their search for an Accountant. This is a permanent role located in Wakefield.

As the Accountant you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health and integrity of the organisation.

With a minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience, you will have the opportunity to contribute to both statutory and management accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting:
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.

Budgeting and Forecasting:
• Collaborate with management to develop budgets and forecasts, providing insights to support strategic decision-making.

Month-End Close:
• Lead the month-end close process, reconciling accounts and analysing variances.

Audit Coordination:
• Work closely with external auditors during annual audits, providing necessary documentation and ensuring a smooth audit process.

Process Improvement:
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.

Qualifications:
• Hold a CIMA or ACCA qualification or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience in accounting roles.
• Proven expertise in managing Statutory Accounts and proficient in generating Management Accounts.
