Responsibilities
As a Property Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in delivering operational support through meticulous management of financial data for a diverse portfolio of 20-25 properties
Your expertise will provide critical financial insights to senior management, operational vice presidents, owners, investors, and lenders while ensuring adherence to regulatory and organizational standards
Oversee month-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Prepare and review Budget Operating Reports, performing necessary research and analysis
Manage journal entries, including accruals, reversals, reclassifications, and adjustments
Maintain the general ledger with thorough account analysis
Facilitate board meeting preparations, including note preparation and support documentation
Ensure compliance with government reporting requirements, including Excess Income and Agency Reports
Monitor and manage replacement/capital additions schedules, assessing adequacy of funding
Lead the preparation and analysis of annual budgets, from development to approval
Assist in year-end closing activities and in the preparation of financial statements, including audit support
Review various critical documents, including mortgages, contracts, and partnership agreements
