Responsibilities
As Accounting Manager you will be responsible for providing expertise in financial statement reporting, property management accounting, implementing best practices and policies, and reviewing and overseeing the staff accountants and associates work
This individual should possess a deep understanding of accounting principles and accurately maintain the general ledger for multiple companies simultaneously
You will have the opportunity to work closely with our CEO and company leadership, and gain deeper insights into the financial elements of commercial real estate

Own the general ledger for multiple companies daily, making journal entries when appropriate
Maintain daily banking including deposits, wires, and transfers
Monitor the process, of ensuring the accuracy of vendor W-+’s as received
Oversee reconciled bank accounts and credit card statements monthly
Drive mortgage reconciliations
Own and oversee the NNN billing and reconciliation processes
Ensure monthly TPT for all rental properties are paid timely and following SOP
Ensure new TPT licenses are acquired as needed
Manage to due to/from account reconciliations monthly
Monitor monthly management fee process
Process investor deposits and payments
Lead the preparation and approval of Financial Packets to external partners monthly
Authorize gain or loss on sale calculations
Oversee the assembly of month-end and year-end financial reports
Monitor and file timely the year end 10++ process for all entities
Direct tax submissions annually for several entities
Work closely with the controller to identify and continuously improve the accounting systems
Marginal Duties-
Audit property tax prorations if calculated on an estimated amount for sold properties
Backup and review weekly check runs including urgent checks
Persist
Schedule bi-weekly one on one’s with direct reports
Address concerns and provide coaching
Assist with goal setting and as needed, prepare written improvement plans
