ABOUT THE COMPANY:
Our client is a forward-thinking financial services firm known for its innovative approach and client-centric focus. They are seeking an experienced Accounting Team Supervisor to oversee financial reporting, manage key client relationships, and lead a high-performing bookkeeping team.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in SME bookkeeping, a keen eye for financial accuracy, and a passion for leadership with the ability to still get involved in the day-to-day accounting work.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Client Management
Act as the primary advisor for a portfolio of small and medium-sized businesses.
Oversee financial transactions, reconciliations, and reporting to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Build strong, trusted relationships with clients by providing proactive financial insights and support.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
Lead and mentor the bookkeeping team, ensuring smooth workflow and effective task management.
Create a positive and collaborative work environment that fosters growth and efficiency.
Uphold the company’s professional values and standards.
Technical Expertise
Manage payroll processing and ensure adherence to relevant legislation.
Handle bank and credit card reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Prepare and review financial reports, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analysis.
Research and interpret accounting principles to provide effective solutions.
Performance & Growth
Meet productivity and billing targets.
Support business development by strengthening client relationships and identifying growth opportunities.
Drive process improvements and explore new technologies to enhance efficiency and client service.
What We’re Looking For
Strong experience with Xero and other accounting software.
Proven ability to lead and manage a team.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
A passion for accounting, client service, and continuous professional development.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
5+ years of experience in a similar role.
Extensive payroll experience, including client payment processing and management reporting.
