Accounts Assistant
Bedminster, Bristol
£30,000 to £40,000 (office-based role)
Monday to Friday, +am - 5pm

We are a well-established and growing business operating in the construction and materials sector. Our finance team plays a vital role in ensuring smooth operations, and we are now looking for a motivated Accounts Assistant to join us.
About the Role
As an Accounts Assistant, you'll be involved in a range of finance tasks, ensuring the smooth running of our accounts function. Key responsibilities include:
Sales Ledger & Credit Control
Processing around 50 sales invoices per month, mainly at month-end.
Chasing overdue payments via phone and email, maintaining strong client relationships.
Recording and managing client remittance advice's.
Investigating short/underpayments and working with the Accountant and Commercial Manager to resolve discrepancies.
Purchase Ledger & General Accounts Support
Assisting with purchase order processing, ensuring accurate documentation.
Matching supplier invoices with delivery notes and resolving any discrepancies.
Supporting the finance team with data entry and reconciliations.
Month-End & Financial Assistance
Assisting with reconciliations, reporting, and ledger reviews.
Ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded before period close.
Supporting the team with general finance administration and ad-hoc duties.
What We're Looking For
Experience in a similar all-round accounts role.
Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and internal teams.
What's on Offer?
£30,000 - £40,000 (depending on experience).
Monday to Friday, + AM - 5 PM (fully office-based).
