Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and well organised candidate Accounts to join our busy finance team. You will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling statements, and facilitating accurate payments to suppliers. Additionally, the role will involve handling employee expenses and reconciliation of company credit cards. The ideal candidate should have strong attention to detail, excellent numerical skills, and an understanding of accounting principles.
This is a key role within the finance department, and you will play a crucial part in maintaining accurate financial records. Potential for hybrid working.
Responsibilities:
• Process vendor invoices, employee expense claims, and company credit card transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
• Verify invoices/expenses/credit card transactions details, such as quantities, prices.
• Code invoices/expenses/credit card transactions in line with requirements.
• Obtain proper approvals through our web portal.
• Prepare and perform payment runs.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies or outstanding issues.
• Respond to supplier and employee inquiries and resolve any payment-related issues.
• Maintain accurate accounts payable records and filing systems.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures related to accounts payable.
• Provide support for internal and external audits.
• Assist with other accounting and finance tasks as required.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office applications, especially Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
