We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in Stamford, Connecticut. The role is within a dynamic team where you will have the chance to advance and grow your career. Responsibilities for this role include processing checks and expense reports, managing daily department mail, and supporting the AP/Finance Department by completing various administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
• Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely and efficient manner
• Maintain and update customer credit records regularly
• Manage and distribute daily department mail
• Assist with internal and external audits as required
• Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners
• Operate full-cycle Accounts Payable procedures
• Ensure daily processes and controls are correctly and punctually executed, adhering to company policies
• Handle validation, recording, and mailing checks and expedite special handling
• Sort, log, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
• Process payments made in foreign currencies
Requirements
• Proficiency in account reconciliation and accounts payable (AP) processes
• Demonstrated capability in check runs and coding invoices
• Proficient in data entry tasks
• Proven experience in invoice processing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience in wire transfer processes
• Familiarity with credit card payments process
• Ability to prepare checks effectively
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Demonstrated ethical behavior and confidentiality of sensitive information
• High school diploma or equivalent education level
• Previous experience in an accounts payable role preferred
