Summary of Job Duties:
The Administrative Specialist III is responsible for coordinating office activities, researching and preparing special reports, and developing, revising, and recommending administrative policies and procedures as directed by supervisor. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency policy.
•Answers telephone and provide information to callers.
•Greets, directs and assists students and visitors.
•Conduct CAHMI and LRS tours for school and community groups and guests.
•Attend recruiting events throughout the year.
•Offers information and makes referral to appropriate staff.
•Schedules and assist in the planning of workshops and special events.
•Provides administrative support to the CAHMI faculty and staff; assists staff with the development of printed materials.
•Processes incoming and outgoing mail, correspondence and data entry of program information.
•Assist the Executive Director, Program Chair, Faculty and Staff with the collection and presentation of data for program evaluation purposes.
•Assist with purchasing of office supplies for program related activities.
•Maintain department files, copy room, conference room and employee breakroom.
•Schedules the CAHMI conference rooms and concourse areas for special events/caterings and class lunches and dinners.
•Strong computer skills required.
•Performs related responsibilities as required or assigned.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Associate degree from an accredited institution; very strong computer skills and experience; at least one year of customer service experience; demonstrated experience working in a team; strong organizational skills; ability to handle multiple tasks and to meet deadlines.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS;
AAS in Baking, Culinary or Hospitality; three years' experience in the hospitality industry; experience in MS Office, Blackboard and Workday; proven experience in problem solving; ability to work with a diverse population
