John Fawkner Private Hospital is an administration officer to join our team on a part time basis in our consulting suites. You will play a key role working within our supportive team to ensure our patients have a positive experience during their care.

This is a part time role - 3 days per week working shifts (Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays) no weekend work!

John Fawkner Private Hospital has a long established tradition for providing quality healthcare to our local community, the veteran community and patients travelling from regional northwest Victoria.

As an administration officer - Consulting Suites your responsibilities will include:

Perform a broad range of administration duties including:
Manage a busy reception desk and answering and redirecting calls
Support our Doctors and patients across our consulting suites
Organise appointments and prepare admission paperwork
Daily and monthly reports
Patient Billing and Receipting/Medicare rebate
Conduct follow up requests and make reminder calls for visits
Maintain accurate and effective record management systems including preparation of medical records
Coordinate with staff from other departments
Complete other clerical tasks such as data entry

Essential Criteria:

Authority to Work in Australia
1-year administration experience, medical reception/administration desirable
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
Strong attention to detail
Experience in MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
