The National Church Institutions comprise a variety of teams, professions, and functions supporting the mission and ministries of the Church of England. As Executive Assistant to the Bishop of Bradwell, you will contribute to developing a culture of flourishing Christian ministry in the Bradwell Episcopal Area.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your contribution will have a direct impact. You will expertly manage the office, providing excellent support by handling correspondence and inquiries, building relationships with diocesan staff, clergy, and parishes on behalf of the Bishop.
You will oversee the Bishop's diary, ensuring they are well-informed and prepared for meetings and engagements. This role involves working interdependently with the Archdeacons, other PAs, and the Area Team to promote efficient and joined-up working practices.
Key Responsibilities
• Organise the complex demands on the Bishop's time through efficient diary management and coordination of visits and meetings
• Undertake proactive management of the Bishop's email account
• Coordinate hospitality, including regular social gatherings and strategic meetings
• Manage the budget and handle day-to-day financial matters, including cheque drawing and online banking
• Administer Clergy vacancies and appointments, including interview processes and safeguarding requirements
