Administrative Nursing Supervisor
The Administrative Nursing Supervisor is responsible for providing administrative and clinical leadership across assigned nursing units and services. This role ensures safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care through effective staffing coordination, operational oversight, and adherence to organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. The Supervisor serves as a clinical and administrative resource for nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams and supports hospital-wide initiatives to improve patient outcomes and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide administrative and clinical oversight of nursing operations during assigned shifts
• Coordinate staffing, patient flow, and resource allocation to ensure safe and effective patient care
• Serve as a leadership resource for nursing staff, addressing clinical, operational, and personnel concerns
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including Joint Commission, CMS, and NYS Department of Health standards
• Support quality improvement, patient safety, and risk management initiatives
• Facilitate communication and collaboration among nursing leadership, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams
• Respond to and manage urgent clinical or operational issues, including incident reporting and escalation as needed
• Participate in audits, documentation review, and regulatory readiness activities
Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree preferred
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York
• Minimum of five (5) years of recent clinical
