Location: Maritime Business College
Job Type: Full-Time | On-Site
Reports To: Director of Admissions/Campus Administrator
Position Overview:
The Admissions Representative serves as the first point of contact for prospective students interested in pursuing careers in Maritime Business College’s industry related programs. This role is responsible for guiding applicants through the admissions process, providing accurate information about programs and services, explaining financial options and ensuring a smooth and supportive experience from inquiry to enrollment to completion of program.
Key Responsibilities:
Student Recruitment:
Actively recruit prospective students through outreach activities, including campus tours, phone calls, emails, and community events.
Advising & Counseling:
Advise prospective students on academic programs, admission requirements, financial aid, and career opportunities.
Application Management:
Guide applicants through the admissions process, assist with application completion, and ensure submission of required documents.
Data Management:
Maintain accurate records of prospective student interactions in the college’s CRM system and regularly report on recruitment activities and enrollment metrics.
Outreach & Events:
Represent the college at career fairs, high school visits, industry conferences, and open house events to promote awareness and generate interest in Maritime Business College programs.
Collaboration:
Work closely with faculty, student services, and financial aid teams to ensure prospective students receive comprehensive support.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Communications, or a related field preferred.
Experience:
Prior experience in admissions, student recruitment, sales, or customer service or a combination of education and direct experience (experience in post-secondary education or maritime industry’s is an asset).
Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and time-management abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Comfortable with public speaking and conducting presentations
Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and virtual meeting platforms
Preferred Attributes:
Knowledge of Maritime Business College and it’s related career paths
