Job Title: Advanced Clinician - Speech Language Therapist

Part-time, 0.8 FTE, Permanent Position

Remuneration: As per PSA Allied Health MECA guidelines (between DB2 - DC3)

The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Speech Language Therapist to work across the Counties Manukau District Speech Language service as an Advanced Clinician.

This role will provide clinical leadership across the speech therapy team and focus on enhancing health outcomes for clients and whanau by ensuring high-quality care is provided.


Apply advanced knowledge, skills, and clinical reasoning when providing specialist intervention.
Coordinate, facilitate, and model interdisciplinary practice based on contemporary best-practice.
Provide specialist consultation and clinical teaching based on contemporary best-practice.
Provide clinical leadership to Speech Language Therapists through clinical research, audit, and evaluation of services and client outcomes.
Support the development of Speech Language Therapy by providing specialist advice and input into policy, planning, and resources.
Requirements:

Relevant Speech Language Therapy qualification and eligibility for NZSTA membership.
A minimum of 6 years post-graduate experience within a similar health setting.
Proven record of clinical leadership, critical thinking, and service development.
Full, clean driver's license.
Desirable Qualifications:

Active involvement in relevant professional organisations.
Research and audit experience.
FEES and VFS competencies.
Knowledge of quality improvement principles and processes.
