Permanent Position
Based in Wellington, working across the Government Services group.

Salary midpoint of $7+,653, actual salary dependent on your experience.

Ko Ake Mahi - What You'll Do
As an Advisor, you will be a member of one Government Services team but may be required to work across the four teams: OIA Services, Ministerial Correspondence, Parliamentary Advice and Coordination, and OIA Advisory and Complaints.

We are looking for an Advisor to join the OIA Services Team.

In This Role
You will support the delivery of the Government and Ministry objectives by providing technical expertise and advice.
You will manage a caseload of OIAs as well as contributing to key pieces of work across the Ministry and collaborate with stakeholders both internal and externally.
This means that you must be based in Wellington.

Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to tailor complex messages to a range of audiences.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to foster good stakeholder relationships.
Ability to influence and work with staff of all levels.
Knowledge of the machinery of government, risk management, managing at the political interface.

The OIA Services Team is responsible for receiving, allocating, tracking, and completing OIAs across the Ministry as well as contributing to OIA training and guidance across the Ministry.

The team are experts in the OIA Act and work hard to support the transparency of and integrity in Ministry decision-making.
