The Salvation Army is one of Australia’s largest providers of ******* and other drug services. We offer a range of services including Harm Reduction and Primary Health Services as well as a range of treatment types (including residential treatment centres, community-based support programs, counselling and withdrawal management services).

About the role
This role is part of our After Hours team to ensure the safety and well being of all clients and staff outside of business hours. You will operate in keeping with the Case Management Plan for each client and the policies and procedures of The Salvation Army.

Reporting to the Team Leader, this is a permanent, part-time position offering 16 hours per week, based at Sunrise Centre, Berrimah.

You will successfully
Maintain the security and safety of residents and staff at our Sunrise site

Identify work health and safety risks to clients and staff and bringing that to the attention of the Team Leader

Build effective relationships with clients, encouraging self-determination, participation and support to their improvement

Assist with ******* testing clients upon re-entry to the centre, any any positive results are reported to the relevant Case Manager within 24 hours

Assist clients with medication in accordance with policy and client medication plans

Provide clients access to support services, establishing community support so their holistic needs are addressed

Monitor client care, progress and outcomes as part of their case plan management

Maintain accurate and up-to date client records and data

Identify services gaps and recommend improvements to the manager for better service delivery

You will have
Certificate III qualification in community services, youth work, ******* & Other Drugs, mental health or related field and relevant experience. ​

Self Administer Medication Certificate

Ability to work weekends, after hours and sleep over shifts as required

Knowledge in Data Entry Systems

A current and valid First Aid Certificate

A national police record check or willingness to obtain

Valid NT Employee Working with Children Check
