About the Role:
We seek an experienced and dynamic Agile Delivery Manager to join our central operations team. This role will oversee and assist with workflow and priorities, ensuring seamless execution and timely delivery of key tasks. As a critical team member, you will be responsible for removing blockers, planning at strategic and tactical levels, and ensuring that key milestones are met on time.
In this role, you will be an expert in implementing, developing, and continuously improving Agile methodologies, driving the enhancement of software delivery across teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Risk and Dependency Management: Identify, monitor, and mitigate risks and dependencies to ensure projects maintain momentum, meeting time, quality, and cost objectives.
Prioritisation and Delivery: Manage day-to-day priorities, ensuring tasks are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with scope and quality standards. Challenge assumptions to ensure both technical and business robustness.
Agile Coaching: Coach teams on Agile principles, practices, and lean tools, fostering an Agile mindset across the organisation.
Team Needs Definition: Proactively assess and define team needs to ensure they are well-supported and resourced to meet goals effectively.
Single Point of Contact: Serve as the main point of contact for delivery teams, projects, and programmes in relation to central support functions, ensuring smooth communication and issue resolution.
Agile and Lean Practices:
Lead on a range of Agile and Lean tools and techniques, ensuring teams are well-equipped to apply them effectively.
Advocate for and innovate with Agile methodologies, staying up to date with industry trends.
Establish and maintain feedback loops to measure and assess value, ensuring alignment with practical objectives and user needs.
Key Skills & Experience:
Essential:
Proven experience with technical ownership of projects and products, delivering solutions proactively.
Extensive experience using Agile project management methods, with a deep understanding of the principles behind them.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, dealing with ambiguity and applying both pragmatism and bold direction.
Solid understanding of the digital landscape, open-source technologies, and continuous deployment practices.
Strong leadership and management skills, able to communicate clear strategies and inspire teams.
Experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams and developing individuals.
Lifecycle Perspective:
Understanding of product delivery phases and the ability to contribute to, plan, or run these.
Experience maintaining and iterating products through all delivery phases, from inception to retirement, while meeting user needs.
Awareness of incident management and service support to ensure effective product development.
