We specialise in installing, repairing, and maintaining climate control systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic buildings.
Responsibilities:
Perform air condition maintenance and repairs on project sites.
Drill holes, install mounting brackets, cut, bend, and thread piping, and ensure proper fitment of parts. Bolt, solder, rivet, weld, and braze pipes to connect equipment, checking alignment and accuracy of fit.
Establish job requirements from drawings and specifications, and lay out installation reference points.
Prepare plans and specifications to install, commission, service, and maintain components such as compressors, condensers, orifice tubes/expansion valves, evaporators, accumulators/driers, refrigerants, charge ports/Schrader valves, compressor clutches, hose assemblies, cycling switches, and control panels.
Install and repair ductwork in building sites, fan installations, and follow detailed installation instructions and manuals.
Test electrical circuits and components for continuity using electrical test equipment.
Use computers to monitor systems and remotely adjust the operation of all Aircon systems.
Install and repair components such as compressors, motors, condensers, evaporators, switches, gauges, and copper lines for steam, gas, refrigerant, compressed air, oil, and chilled water.
Detect malfunctions, faults, and breakdowns of machinery and perform necessary repairs on and off the job site, including emergency repairs.
Record data when inspecting systems, such as temperature of equipment, fuel consumption, and hours of operation.
Reassemble and test equipment following repairs.
Adjust system controls and mechanisms, and reassemble systems.
Skills Required:
A minimum AQF certificate 3 with at least 2 years of experience or relevant experience may substitute formal qualifications.
