Job Description
Christian High School, a college preparatory school in the greater San Diego area, is currently accepting applications for an experienced Algebra 2 Secondary Math Teacher. This role requires a passionate educator dedicated to engaging students and guiding them to think, learn, and live from a Biblical worldview.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement engaging Algebra 2 lesson plans aligned with school curriculum and standards.
Foster a Christ-centered learning environment that promotes academic excellence and spiritual growth.
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support learning objectives.
Utilize various instructional strategies to accommodate different learning styles and needs.
Collaborate with faculty, administration, and parents to support student success.
Maintain classroom discipline consistent with school policies and Biblical principles.
Participate in professional development and school-related activities as required.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Math, Education, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at the secondary level.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Commitment to integrating a Biblical worldview in teaching and student interactions.
Preferred:
Master’s Degree in Math or Education.
Single Subject Math Credential (or actively pursuing one).
ACSI Temporary Teacher Certification (or willingness to obtain within the first year of employment).
Willingness to acquire a valid teaching credential within five years of employment (if applicable).
