Job Title: Allied Health Assistant Permanent – Full Time

We are seeking an Allied Health Assistant to assist with the daily functioning of Allied Health Professional (AHP) services and undertake tasks under the direction of AHPs.

This important role will see you working within the Stroke Unit at the Launceston General Hospital. As an Allied Health Assistant in this team, you will support the Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists to provide patient-centred care and help clients reach their goals by delivering and supporting therapy programs.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with the daily functioning of Allied Health Professional (AHP) services and undertake tasks under the direction of AHPs.
Support the Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists to provide patient-centred care and help clients reach their goals by delivering and supporting therapy programs.
Work within the Stroke Unit at the Launceston General Hospital, providing assistance to patients and staff as needed.
Requirements:

Certificate IV in Health Service Assistance (Allied Health Assistance) or equivalent qualification
Tertiary student of a relevant and approved allied health course of study at a recognised tertiary institution
