About the role

The AHP4 Allied Health Project Manager is pivotal role within the South Australian Adult Burns Service and is aimed at ensuring that Allied Health Practices remain consumer centric, contemporary, evidenced based and is critical to Allied Health project management. This position supports a number of ongoing service requirements including responding to the American Burn Association RAH Burn Unit verification recommendations. The position requires seniority and well-developed knowledge of provision of burns services, ability to initiate, facilitate & support allied health staff and others in developing burns services in SA, undertaking quality improvement and research activities, liaising closely with nursing, medical, management and other staff associated with burns services and is an important member of the burns service management team. Development of quality improvement, service development and ultimately patient outcomes are directly impacted by this position.

The position is accountable for:

Initiating and formulating strategies relating to the provision of high quality and efficient allied health services resulting in optimal outcomes for patients with burn injuries and related conditions in South Australia
Leading cross-site and inter-agency coordination in allied health relating to the Adult Burns Service and related surgical specialties services, by working in close consultation with allied health clinicians and managers
Initiating, formulating, coordinating, reviewing and supporting the development of allied health quality and research activities related to burn injury and associated areas as directed.
Providing leadership and contributing to the development and coordination of the strategic directions & operations particularly relating to Adult Burns Service in SA.
Qualifications

Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification in relevant Allied Health discipline which entitles registration with the relevant discipline board (or equivalent recognised discipline association membership where registration does not exist)

Current National Police Clearance (NPC)
