Junior Copywriter Position
We are seeking a full-time junior copywriter to join our team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate must be based in Mumbai's suburbs.
About the Role
• This position involves researching and writing engaging articles, essays, interviews, and opinion pieces that align with our editorial vision.
• Cover complex LGBTQIA+ issues, including topics like gender, caste, disability, mental health, and intersectional activism.
• Pitch, develop, and execute story ideas that center marginalized voices within the queer community.
Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with editors, designers, and contributors to create compelling multimedia content.
• Stay up-to-date with global LGBTQIA+ discourse, ensuring cultural relevance in all pieces.
• Translate complex issues into engaging content using strong research and storytelling skills.
Requirements
• 2+ years of writing experience (journalism, editorial, agency, or freelance).
• Familiarity with our past work and the South Asian queer media landscape.
• Lived experience as an LGBTQIA+ person is strongly preferred.
The ideal candidate will possess strong research and storytelling skills, with an ability to translate complex issues into engaging content.
