At Amazon, our Finance Operations, Accounting & Analysis (FOAA) team is a fast-paced and dynamic environment where delivering great experiences for our customers is top priority. We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Specialist to support our Central Accounting and Tax Compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform month end activities, including closing of sub-ledgers, general ledger account reconciliations, reporting, and balance sheet account analysis.
• Prepare month end Flux analysis for all P&L and Balance Sheet accounts and share with stakeholders along with the analysis on the reasons for changes.
• Demonstrate a proficient level of professional skill and knowledge in accounting, applying this expertise to recognize complex and unique issues and develop resolution or consult with leadership to achieve resolution.
• Evaluate and improve financial policies, procedures, and internal controls, documenting and implementing process improvements.
• Prepare Balance sheet reconciliations, highlighting and taking necessary action upon issues.
• Interact with auditors on audit-related queries, ensuring smooth completion of audits.
• Promote GRC compliance, internal control, and align improvements/changes with stakeholders.
• Support new business/system launches, including UAT of accounting entries and financial reporting.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• 4+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable or Account Payable
• 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
• 4+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making
• 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis
• 3+ years of directly managing and leading a team of 3+ members
• 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results
• 4+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying root causes, and creating/implementing an escalation plan
• 4+ years of mentoring junior finance and/or business team members
