Bureau Veritas is looking for an
ANALYST 1
This is a Full-Time position with Medical Benefits and Retirement Savings Plan
As an ANALYST 1, your main responsibilities are:
Preparation of water and soil samples for laboratory analysis. Including but not limited to: sample extraction, standard and reagent preparation, instrument maintenance, calibration, analysis, reporting and troubleshooting.
Key Accountability/Responsibilities:
Review LIMS summary reports to plan and organize your daily work, as well as follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) efficiently.
Perform sample preparation and procedures prior to analyses.
Prepare samples, sub-samples and reagents. Ensure samples, extracts and standard solutions are properly labelled and stored in the appropriate location.
Perform basic testing procedures, identify any non-routine samples and seek guidance on procedures for handling.
Meet quality and TAT specifications required by the client and ensure samples are analyzed within holding time requirements.
Ensure laboratory protocols are followed and turn-around-times are met.
Standard laboratory environment
Availability for shift work, OT and weekend work required
Other duties as required
You are the ideal ANALYST 1 if:
You have a technical diploma, B.Sc. preferred
