The team you will be a part of
The Audit team develops, plans, and evaluates internal audit programs for the organization's accounting and statistical records and the activities of various departments to ensure compliance with the organization's policies, procedures and standards. Prepares reports for management on the results of audits, providing recommendations on improvements.

This role in summary
Internal Audit is a ~60+ global function responsible for an independent, objective assurance and consulting function designed to add value through objective assurance on the effectiveness of the internal control system and by improving Whirlpool’s Operations. The mission of internal audit is to enhance and protect organizational value by providing risk-based and objective assurance, advice, and insight to the Board of Directors, the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors, and the senior management of Whirlpool. Responsible for delivering the Internal Audit Department’s mission, objectives and activities. This would include assisting in and preparing audit plans, participating in assigned process studies, driving data analytics and contributing to periodic stakeholder reporting processes. Cross regional opportunities to participate in Global and Local audits will be provided.

Your responsibilities will include
Assisting completion of Whirlpool Sarbanes Oxley 404 obligations, performing process write up, walkthroughs, testing and remediation testing 2. Participate in formulation of the audit plans. 3. Assist/prepare audit planning memorandum and prepare/tailor audit programs. The audit program will include the assessment of internal control design, operating effectiveness and overall control environment effectiveness. 4. Perform fieldwork in accordance with the approved audit program. This will generally include identification and testing of internal controls, analytical review, and substantive testing. Adhere to audit schedules. 5. Prepare concise & effective written reports, identify deficiencies and make practical recommendations for corrective action. 6. Participating in assigned process studies, identifying process improvement suggestions and preparation of standard operating procedures 7. Discuss control improvements, risks and suggestions with superiors and management. Interface with the business for rigorous follow up for implementation of the recommendation and providing support for the same. 8. Demonstrating awareness of the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing as promulgated by the Institute of Internal Auditors +. Demonstrating the ability to research issues, trends, etc. via external sources 10. Contribute to periodic Audit Committee reporting process 11. Contribute to the Data analytics program of the function And most important – be a change agent! 12. Contributed to the supply chain process enhancement programs which led to enhancing controls, bringing in efficiencies, changed business practices etc.

Minimum requirements
1-3 yrs Experience post qualification experience

Chartered Accountant/MBA Finance/ CFA Supply Chain MBA or equivalent degree in supply chain. Big 4 professional with previous experiences in supply chain preferred
