Analyst – Cyber Security- Remote in Canada


Here is what a typical day looks like


Analyzing threat alerts detected by monitoring applications, and executing corrective actions in a secondary role
Collaborating on the assessment of security risks, issues and recommended solutions
Participating in Information Systems risk assessments
Identifying end point related vulnerabilities, prioritizing patches, and working with IT operations on patch management, etc.
Assisting in the deployment of IT security systems and information security solutions
Recognizing and applying prescribed methodologies and frameworks to identify basic and advanced problems with endpoint security threats or unauthorized access conditions
Planning, coordinating, and partnering with TS teams to expedite technical recovery requirements necessary to correct major security incidents
Analyzing and translating business requirements into control objectives, design security controls and implement them along with a security management cycle
Providing primary support with respect to data loss prevention
Providing technical support in the areas of product risk evaluation
Conducting testing and audit log reviews to evaluate the effectiveness of current security measures
Identifying, studying, learning and applying knowledge of new/emerging security technologies, methodologies and products to analyze and recommend on potential value, participating in and supporting continuous improvement efforts

The value you bring


Strong analytical and ITIL foundation and an intermediate certificate in cyber security is an asset
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Well-developed project management skills including exceptional attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to be self-directed and contribute to a team environment.

Hours: 37.5hrs per week

Location: Remote Options available in Canada

Requisition: 81211

Compensation Range: $65,000 - $85,000
