Role Overview

This position is a key member of Fisker’s core Mobile development team and will be responsible for short development cycles and frequent updates to public-facing applications. This position should have a good understanding of mobile application development.

Job Responsibilities
• Candidate must have 7+ years of hands-on Android development experience.
• The Android Developer rapidly prototypes and implements new features for the Fisker Android app.
• Present solutions both independently and as a member of the Engineering team, and deliver the solutions on-time
• Transform business and functional requirements into technical solutions.
• Continuously explore new trends and incorporate emerging technology stacks
• Participate in full software development life cycle from concept through delivery
• Troubleshoot and provide scalable solutions for complex engineering problems
• Blend iterative and adaptive development to effectively handle time-constrained projects
• Participate in code and design reviews to give constructive feedback and, seek it as well
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and encourage a culture of intellectual curiosity by being approachable
• Implement solutions serving high-volume production applications.

Minimum Qualifications
• Experience in Building Native Android applications.
• Proficiency with Kotlin and knowledge of Java
• Familiarity with Push notifications, authentication, and API’s
• A good understanding of Android build and release pipelines
• Experience with Android animations and test automation
