Primary objective

The Application Support Analyst evaluates data, processes and methods used in Business Applications such as the Tenancy

Management System (TMS), identifies process and system improvements, and provides solutions to the client agency in a

timely and efficient manner, to assist in effective business decisions, particularly in the delivery of tenancy management

functions.

Context statement

The Housing Business Systems team provides support and advice to tenancy staff and contractors across all regions on the

effective use of business systems to support delivery of tenancy management services for all public housing tenants.

Key duties and responsibilities

1. Provide systems support, quality assurance and guidance for users of applications and systems.

2. User access management and regular security access audits of system users.

3. Analysis, identification, documentation and escalation of complex application issues.

4. Investigate and analyse data and business process to ensure data consistency is maintained throughout all business

systems.

5. Undertake systems integrity testing including documenting test scenarios and assisting in implementation activities.

6. Provide support in coordination of User Acceptance Testing of business application enhancements.

7. Assist with the creation, review and documentation of systems policies, processes and procedures.

Selection criteria

Essential

1. Good knowledge and understanding of Business Applications, management framework and development of life cycle

controls, including experience in access management and security audits, or the ability to acquire.

2. Experience in troubleshooting, problem solving, data analysis, documentation of solutions with attention to detail and a

high level of accuracy, and escalation of issues where required.

3. High level of interpersonal skills, exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with

users, service providers, developers and subject matter experts in a customer focused and team environment.

4. Proven ability to work in a team and maintain integrity and confidentiality, as well as exercise initiative to support client

service delivery.

5. Ability to interact effectively with people of diverse cultures and respond to changes in client needs and expectations.

Desirable

1. Experience in working in a NTG or related context, including application of policies and procedures.
