ABOUT THE COMMUNITY

Rorketon School is a Kindergarten to Grade 12 school approximately 3 hours northwest of Winnipeg and 1 hour northeast of Dauphin. The school has a student population of 75 students with a teaching staff of 7 and 15 support staff members. Please note that this teaching assignment includes teaching Grade 7-9 Woodworking to students from three (3) neighbouring Area 2 schools one (1) day a week.

WHAT YOU BRING

Bachelor of Education Degree, Diploma in Industrial Arts/Technology Teacher Education
Valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for)
Previous Applied Technology teaching/industry experience preferred
A sound knowledge of provincial Applied Technology curricula
A sound knowledge and experience with school-based technology
Strong classroom management skills
Knowledge of Indigenous Way of Life (considered an asset)
Experience working in a northern community (considered an asset)
