About the Role
Under supervision, the Apprentice Maintenance Fitter will be involved in fitting and assembling parts and sub-assemblies made from metal and other materials for production machinery and other equipment, working from detailed drawings or specifications using hand and machine tools and precision measuring instruments.
Essential Skills:
Commitment and eligibility to complete relevant Cert III qualifications.
Completed or in the process of completing Year 12.
Sound academic achievement (passes in all subjects) with a good attendance record.
Intermediate to advanced mathematics skills.
Ability to follow instructions and adhere to all safety requirements.
Mechanically minded with an understanding of basic hand tools and their applications.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
A reliable team player who is motivated and eager to learn.
