Job description
Our Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeships

Our apprenticeships allow you to study for industry-recognised qualifications whilst earning a competitive salary. As an apprentice, you will study with a training provider, such as a college, and combine this experience with real responsibilities in the workplace. Your study pattern could be day or block release, or via distance learning, depending on the course that you enrol on. A dedicated mentor will guide you through your personal and professional development. Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeships have a typical duration of two or three years, during which you will attain both a professional and academic qualification to further your career. Our apprentices are employed on a permanent basis, so you'll continue to progress with Arup once you've completed your course.

The Opportunity

A career in any of our UK Bridges/Civils Structures teams provides an exciting and rewarding environment in which to work and develop. Our work covers the full range of civil engineering structures and bridges, and we are a driving force behind the concept and delivery of major infrastructure projects. Our projects transform and greatly improve daily lives, from new build designs which complement their environments through to the strengthening of existing assets to sustainably extend their life.

They will also support in the development and production, analysis and planning of railway engineering designs that inform others, either internally or externally, where designs are utilised to construct, maintain or improve rail systems

We are looking for candidates with five or more GCSEs at grade C/4/5 or above including Maths (Grade B/5/6 or above), English and Science or their equivalent .

Is this role right for you?

We're looking for apprentices who are curious and ready to evolve how they think and work.

Our strength comes from how we respect, share and connect our diverse experiences, perspectives and ideas. At Arup, you belong to an extraordinary collective – in which we encourage individuality to thrive. If you can share your knowledge and ideas and encourage others to do the same; whilst having a desire to deliver excellent services for clients – we'd like to hear from you.

You should be able to start this opportunity no later than September 2025.

Eligibility for apprenticeship funding requires candidates to have the right to work in the UK and continuous residency in the UK since at least September 2022. Candidates holding a visa must ensure it remains valid for the full duration of the apprenticeship, which may extend up to 5 years.
