The Role
Executive Assistant (EA) to Director General Defence Force Recruiting (DGDFR) will be accountable for organising their workflow, making decisions within their defined area of responsibility and will seek guidance when required. They will provide administrative support that is informed and directed by their knowledge of the administration function. They may undertake some research and analysis activities.
About our Team
DFR is a public-private collaboration between Defence and a recruiting company and provides recruiting services to the Australian Defence Force in accordance with standards and policies set by the Navy, Army and Air Force.
Recruiting services are delivered using a mix of military, APS and contractor staff operating in a high energy, multi-vendor environment which is responsible for directly delivering capability to the Australian Defence Force.
Our Ideal Candidate
EA to DG DFR will be required to communicate with, respond and provide advice to a range of stakeholders on moderately complex administrative issues.
The ideal candidate will be expected to perform the following:
Managing DGDFR Diary (Outlook)-including all incoming and outgoing meeting engagements/invitations.
Knowledge management for DGDFR utilising the Defence Records Management System, Objective.
Booking and coordination of domestic travel.
Preparation of event/travel briefs.
Replying to event invitations on behalf of DGDFR.
