Auckland Coin Machines Ltd is one of the largest games arcade operators in New Zealand. Operating under the Play, TimeOut and GameOn brands we provide exciting, fun-filled entertainment for the whole family. We are looking for several part time Arcade Supervisors, able to work flexible hours. We require a responsible, dynamic, self-motivated person to run the arcade during busy times including nights and weekends.
We have positions available in PLAY/TimeOut Westcity, Manukau and Albany.
Initially we can offer 10 hours a week at each site, with room for these hours to grow. Applicants need to be available for weekend and public holiday work. Shift times vary from week to week but you can always expect at least 10 hours, with additional hours available when shift cover is needed. Ability to travel provides the opportunity to pick up additional hours at other locations.
Open to all ages above 18, older experienced retirees may find satisfaction in this face to face customer service role. As a permanent role, this job is not suitable for those seeking temporary part time/holiday work.
As an arcade supervisor you will enjoy interacting with people and ensuring that their expectations are not only met, but exceeded. You will be responsible for:
Opening and supervising the arcade. Maintaining the daily operation of the arcade
Welcoming and providing assistance to customers and handling customer queries.
Resolving minor game faults and reporting more significant game faults through our online Call Reporting System
Re-stocking merchandise and game consumables
Keeping the arcade and games clean and tidy
Identifying hazards and ensuring they are resolved
Helping to run in-store promotions and competitions
Liaising with management where required
You will need the following skills and characteristics:
Honest and trustworthy
Reliable and punctual
Friendly and customer focused - Must have strong customer service skills
Capable of working without supervision with excellent multi-tasking skills.
Proactive - able to keep yourself busy during quiet times
Confident in dealing with all ages and resolving minor customer complaints
Interested in arcade games, some knowledge or background with games would be helpful but not essential
Basic math skills as they apply to cash handling
Clean criminal history (no convictions)
Drivers license/own vehicle
Full on the job training will be provided for this role
