Job Title: Area Sales Manager (Yale Retail)

Reports to: Zonal Sales Manager

Position Summary:

ASSA ABLOY is looking for an Area Sales Manager, based out of Pune to handle the existing channel partners, on-boarding new channel partners and manage the sales team in the designated zone. The role involves continuous market analysis, setting entire mix of products, market analysis, and price management in coordination with internal teams along with tapping new markets in the assigned territory.

Responsibility & Requirements:
• Sales Revenue Generation through Distribution & Retail Channel sales, Small & Mid-Size Project sales.
• Appoint, Establish & Manage Channel – Distributors & Dealers.
• Focus on Distributors’ secondary sales, stock management and price management.
• Design and implement promotional Schemes to the channel and monitor the performance of the schemes.
• Collections from the distributors & dealers.
• Timely submission of reports (data management)
• Launch new products in the market with proper focus on the influencers (Interior designer & architects)
• Closely monitor competition actions and new developments.
• Organise and participate in promotional events (Carpenter/ Dealer / Architects Meets)
• Visit Architects & Interior Designer for Product Specifications.
• Visit Contractors and Small & Medium size builders for project orders.
• Efficiently handle team of ASEs, SOs & DSEs by ensuring maximum output from the team.

Skills Required
• Existing knowledge and relationship with the Hardware traders/channel
• Strong desire to deliver sales targets and have self-motivation to work independently in achieving targets.
• Ability to present/demonstrate the products and pricing successfully to the customers.
• Confident, energetic and has the appetite to work in a start-up and grow faster.
• Analytical and problem solving skills
• Negotiation skills
• Team Management
• Communication and Presentation skills - Must know English & local language.
• Action-oriented. Gets things done.

Qualification Criteria:
• Bachelor’s degree or Post Graduation in Marketing.
• Minimum 5 – 8 years of experience in Building material Industry – Hardware, Tiles, Sanitary, Paints, Modular kitchen, Electrical, Doors & windows, Plywood & Laminates, Glass etc.
• Minimum 2 years team handling experience is desirable.
• Should be willing to travel extensively.
