$113,335 - $128,+5+ per annum plus 15.4% Superannuation
Canberra
The HR Assistant Director at NHMRC has a leadership role both across the People section and in advising and coaching senior leaders to deliver contemporary and innovative solutions. Working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment you will have the autonomy and be instrumental in delivering innovative and practical people solutions to improve our recruitment approaches, talent experience, and workforce capability.

Job specific duties
As the Assistant Director Human Resources, you will be required to:

Deliver and evaluate workforce strategies (including diversity and inclusion, mobility and capability) to support NHMRC’s priorities and build an inclusive workplace culture
Develop and deliver a fit for purpose attraction, onboarding, induction and retention frameworks to improve employee experience with contemporary systems and processes
Oversee the delivery of best practice recruitment services and provide strategic advice and support on talent sourcing and development
Deliver contemporary learning and development solutions to support staff development and NHMRC’s capability needs
Core capabilities
Strong leadership skills and an ability to build and mentor a high performing team with multiple competing priorities and deadlines to achieve great outcomes.
Demonstrated experience building and maintaining productive working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience designing and implementing innovative solutions to address workforce risks and harness opportunities.
Ability to improve systems and processes to support business and organisational priorities with measurable impact.
The ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation to ensure compliance and provide accurate and timely advice.
Demonstrated experience in preparing complex written correspondence and impactful presentations that build a case for change and reflect diverse ideas and input.
The following will be highly regarded:
Extensive experience and knowledge of human resource management is highly desirable. Professional and/or tertiary qualifications in relevant fields will also be highly regarded
A current Baseline level security clearance or the ability to obtain one
