Job Title: Assistant Management Accountant
Location: Fully Remote
Salary: circa £35,000 per annum DOE
Job Description:
Our Client, a multinational media production company are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Management Accountant to join their finance team remotely. The successful candidate will support the finance department by preparing accurate financial records, assisting in month-end processes, and ensuring that all financial data is accurately maintained. This role is integral to the smooth operation of our financial reporting and compliance processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all accounts are accurate and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
• Journal Preparation: Prepare and post simple journals, including accruals and prepayments, to ensure accurate reflection of financial transactions.
• Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are correctly accounted for and investigating any discrepancies.
• ERP System Support: Assist in managing the ERP system, ensuring all financial data is correctly entered, maintained, and aligned with project budgets and company requirements.
• Ad Hoc Reporting: Prepare ad hoc financial reports as required by the management team, providing clear and accurate data to support decision-making.
• Month-End Assistance: Support the month-end closing process by ensuring all necessary entries are recorded and financial statements are prepared in a timely manner.
• Accounts Reconciliation: Assist in reconciling various accounts, including intercompany transactions, ensuring all data is accurate and up-to-date.
• Expense Tracking: Verify and record employee expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies and accurate coding in the system.
• Compliance Support: Assist with compliance-related tasks, including ensuring financial practices adhere to relevant regulations and company policies.
• Documentation: Maintain organised and accurate financial records, ensuring all documentation is properly filed and accessible for audits or reviews.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a management accounting role.
• Strong understanding of balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and financial software.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a remote environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Great Interpersonal skills and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
