Ibis Sydney Barangaroo is seeking an Assistant Manager to join our dedicated team based onsite at the hotel.

Job Description

ibis Sydney Barangaroo is seeking an amazing Assistant Manager who loves people and is driven to providing exceptional experiences for our guests. This service minded individual will join a small and engaged team environment overflowing with development opportunities.

Specific Duties Include

Oversee and support the daily operations of the hotel in the absence of the Operations Manager / General Manager
A driver of guest satisfaction and loyalty recruitment
Challenge the status quo and continue to grow and innovate in the superior service of our guests
Taking initiative to ensure that interactions with our guests are positive and productive
Ensuring that each team member feels valued whilst providing guidance and supporting their learning & development
Actively resolving guest requests, complaints and challenges
Be responsible for the health and safety of all patrons, guests and team members

Qualifications

What we are looking for:

Previous Front Office experience in Supervisory / Management capacity
Service focused personality is essential and previous leadership experience
Prior experience working with Opera cloud or a related system
The ability to make decisions independently and confidently
Ability to lead by example, believe in a strong team culture and set the scene for high performance
Strong attention to detail
Proven ability to cope well under pressure
Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus
Have full working right in Australia
