Position: Assistant Manager - Finance

Reporting To: AVP - Corporate Finance

Location: The Leela Corporate Office, Mumbai

Roles & Responsibilities:
• Assist the Finance team in assuring the implementation of the Corporate Policies & Procedures.
• Assist in accounting timely bill booking and payments
• Overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and effective management of financial transactions.
• Assist the Sr. Manager - Finance in MIS reporting preparation.
• Co-ordinate internal and external audits, and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
• Prepare and participate in the Monthly Review.
• Plans out the cash flow, working capital, all other monetary requirements of the hotel
• Develop and implement internal controls to prevent errors and fraud.
• Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and standards.
• Carry out the duties & responsibilities of the Finance Manager during his absence.
• Co-ordinate the various sections of the Accounting department
• Ensure the timely receipt of input for the closing.
• Assist the Hotels with billing queries.
• Carry out any reasonable duties as may be requested by the department head.
• Handling Internal and Statutory Auditors and Taxation.
• Is familiar with the Policies and Procedures.
• Reports to work in good time before the commencement of duties.
• Ensures that confidential records and other confidential information related to the Hotel.
• Keeps confidential and financial and other information related to the Hotel.

Qualification/ Requirement:
• Minimum Degree in Finance/Diploma, preferably professional qualification.
• Minimum 4 to 5 year experience in the same field
• Budgetary analysis capabilities required
• Must be able to read, analyse, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
• Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must be able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, BOSS and other applicable computer systems
• Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
