Assistant Manager, Operations

The Assistant Manager of Operations is responsible for overseeing the production and delivery of various workflow products and ensuring the efficiency and quality of day-to-day operations. This is a managerial role leading a team of Legal Operations Analysts within a Global Capability Center environment. Legal Operations Analysts are responsible for drafting (writing) and reviewing demand letters on behalf of our clients (US-based law firms). This role includes hiring, training, managing and up-levelling Legal Operations Analysts, managing the request queue, assessing quality, optimizing processes, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and effective performance as we scale.

What you will do:
Own the day-to-day performance and delivery of your team of Legal Operations Analysts
Build and manage a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence in execution
Achieve operational production goals for efficiency, quality, and cost. Be the subject matter expert on team workflows, processes, and procedures to drive operational improvement in service of company objectives
Monitor team production on a daily basis to track performance against targets and identify production outliers, root causes, etc
Monitor the operational pipeline/queue to match supply and demand
Provide timely, considerate, and value-added feedback/support to team members across various issues (general performance, system/product questions, etc.), as well as complete final reviews of their work
Lead efforts to streamline and scale operational processes, aligning them with the companys performance goals

What we look for:
5+ years of progressive team leader experience in a fast-growing, highly collaborative environment, ideally within a Global Capability Center (GCC), Legal Process Outsourcing (LPO), Business Process Outsourcing (BPO/KPO), Legal Technology etc. environment, with a focus on operations or service delivery
Demonstrated work experience managing operational, production-based workflows and teams, including BPO management, vendor management
Proven experience in leading teams to achieve high levels of performance and service delivery
Proficiency in working with/manipulating large data sets via Excel, G-sheets, Forms, etc. (SQL a plus).
Exceptional English reading, comprehension, and writing skills
Immaculate attention to detail
Ability to organize, multi-task, prioritize, and collaborate with various teams across the globe
Demonstrated ability to learn quickly with the ability to swiftly pick up new processes and software
