We are looking for a talented and skillful Assistant Manager- Taxation who is well-versed in the basics of accounting, audit, and taxes. The understanding of the subject matter should be excellent.

Role Definition: An assistant manager is a person who supervises both activities and people by planning, organizing, executing, and controlling all the activities with all available resources effectively and efficiently. An assistant manager is in charge of day-to-day activities and deals with the whole responsibility of guiding the team to achieve the expected results.

Qualification- CA Inter cleared or CA Final DropOut (with Graduation/Post-Graduation) and a minimum work experience of at least 2-3 years in direct and indirect taxation (preferably in a Mediocre CA firm with a team of 20 people)

Roles and Responsibilities -

Work Execution & Quality Control -
• Prioritizing the work with timelines.
• Plan, organize, execute, direct, and monitor operations, including overall quality of deliverables, processes, and project completion within budgeted timelines.
• Supervise teams across different client engagements.
• Preparation of regulatory reports and other data as directed by the designated superior/partners.
• Preparing checklists, procedures, PPTs, and other material as required.
• Ensuring quality control is maintained at the departmental level by adherence to firm policies.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Communicate the results of assignments through written reports and oral presentations on a timely basis to the designated superior/partners.
• Handling sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity.
• Tracking the progress of subordinates and reporting to the designated superior/partners.
• Coordinates, and enforces systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
• Coordinating with other departments as and when required to achieve department and team goals.

Training and development
• Training personnel and helping team members develop their overall skills.
• Educate, update, and impart to the team the latest developments and technical knowledge within the domain.
• Facilitate the team to obtain the required knowledge of other domains to ensure the overall quality of engagement deliverables and processes.
• Develop and engage the team through individual contact, discussions, and group meetings to understand each other better.
• Overall building the Desired Profile of personnel.

Learning, Researching, and Developing skills
• Stay up to date with the latest developments in the business world.
• Constantly work and maintain required competencies.
• Research and prepare presentations on emerging issues within the domain and stay updated on other related domains, rules, and regulations.
• Become proficient in computer and accounting packages, applications, filing utilities, and database utilities like Xero, Intuits, Zoho, Busy, Tally ERP +, Power BI, Microsoft Office suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), etc.
• To create a learning plan basis on P.R.E. Model (People, Resources, Experience).

Review meetings
• Attend and conduct operational meetings daily for 15 mins to provide support to the team.
• Attend and conduct tactical meetings every 14 days for 2 hours to hold people accountable and provide feedback to the team on a tactical basis.
