About Us

The Infrastructure Directorate is the City of Stirling’s largest and most diverse Directorate, managing many of the City’s important assets and services while delivering a multi-million-dollar portfolio of projects.

This Directorate is responsible for the ongoing delivery of the City’s sustainability program, as well as contributing heavily to the City of Stirling’s vibrant local economy, liveable neighbourhoods and thriving communities.

About the Position

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Officer to join our team under a 12 month Fixed-Term Contract. This position would ideally suit a university graduate or university student who is nearing the end of their studies. We are flexible and can offer casual or part-time work to work in with your studies. The successful candidate will support the Coordinator Building Projects in planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This role requires excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules and plans.
Coordinate project activities and ensure all project phases are documented appropriately.
Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the Coordinator Building Projects.
Prepare and distribute project-related documents and reports.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
Assist in the management of project budgets and resources.
Conduct research and gather data to support project planning and decision-making.
Perform administrative tasks as needed to support the project team.
About You

Relevant Tertiary qualification or progression towards a relevant tertiary qualification to be completed in the next 12 months.
Previous experience in a project support role is advantageous.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
