About the Role
As the Assistant Project Officer you will be working within the Delivery Support Team supporting local area Biosecurity teams to deliver the Central Tablelands Feral Pig Program.
Provide project and administrative support, including monitoring and reporting on project plans, milestones and deliverables, to ensure time, cost and quality indicators are in line with approved project plans
Assist the project team to complete tasks and implement project plans, including collating documents and records regarding relevant issues to ensure projects comply with agreed project methodologies and that agreed outcomes are achieved
Coordinate and manage records and databases, complying with administrative systems, processes and policies, to ensure that all information is accurate, stored correctly and accessible
Collate information and assist in the drafting of correspondence and Ministerial responses
Communicate with relevant stakeholders to provide updates regarding project status and implementation issues
We’re looking for people to join the team – who are passionate about rural land management and pest biosecurity. People who are keen to make a difference by working with landholders to deliver land management outcomes.
About You
To be successful in this role you’ll ideally have:
Previous experience engaging and forming strong relationships with landholders
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Current NSW Drivers Licence
A positive and solution-focused attitude, you’ll be able to think creatively and solve complex problems for both yourself and others as they arise
The ability to work autonomously with limited supervision
Previous project management experience
A genuine interest in pest biosecurity
Willingness to work across functional teams when needed in order to service the local region
Previous experience and/or qualifications in Land Management and/or Pest Biosecurity
